Dr. Vijay Prakash
Dr. Vijay is a veteran Ayurveda Acharya (doctor) who has been practicing Ayurveda for more than 40 years. He specializes in Pulse Diagnosis* and based on the diagnosis, he accordingly treats his patients. He has an innate skill of identifying rare herbs and has been preparing herbal medicines for decades.
Dr. Vijay has more than 15 patents to his name. His understanding of modern scientific methods and deep knowledge of parallel cures from ancient medicine combine in a holistic manner in treating chronic and life threatening diseases.
He has treated diseases such as nervous disorders, brain diseases, spinal injuries, rheumatism, osteo-arthritis, migraine, sexual disorders, cervical spondylitis, respiratory disorders, cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, etc. He has patients visiting from all over India and many other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, Peru, Colombia, Honduras, UK, Italy, Croatia, Ukraine, etc.
Dr. Vijay is also a renowned scholar of Yoga & Naturopathy, and has a deep knowledge of the Vedas, Upanishads and various other ancient texts. This enables him to have a holistic view towards the science of ancient medicine, as they are all interlinked. Apart from medicine, he is an expert in meditation and a master of Jyoti-shastra (Astrology). He has also worked with UNESCO on various projects and has extensively travelled to US and Canada for the same.
As a young man, Dr. Vijay had an inclination towards learning about the human body and natural ways of healing it from ailments. With such deep interest in the subject, he went to work as an apprentice under the guidance of Shri Bihari Das, who belonged to a family of Ayurvedic practitioners and cured many patients with serious ailments in his 60 years of experience. Later, Shri Bihari Das became the Spiritual guru of Dr. Vijay Parkash. Dr. Vijay also went on to formalize his study of the ancient medicine by pursuing higher education in Ayurveda.
It is this immense experience and research of Dr. Vijay that forms the backbone of Matsyaveda.
*Pulse Diagnosis (“naadi vigyan”) is an ancient science that helps an Ayurvedic doctor to diagnose and treat various ailments (and even prevent their occurrence) using the pulse signals obtained from the three precise locations on the wrist at the radial artery, viz. vata, pitta and kapha.
