Dr. Vijay is a veteran Ayurveda Acharya (doctor) who has been practicing Ayurveda for more than 40 years. He specializes in Pulse Diagnosis* and based on the diagnosis, he accordingly treats his patients. He has an innate skill of identifying rare herbs and has been preparing herbal medicines for decades.

Dr. Vijay has more than 15 patents to his name. His understanding of modern scientific methods and deep knowledge of parallel cures from ancient medicine combine in a holistic manner in treating chronic and life threatening diseases.

He has treated diseases such as nervous disorders, brain diseases, spinal injuries, rheumatism, osteo-arthritis, migraine, sexual disorders, cervical spondylitis, respiratory disorders, cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, etc. He has patients visiting from all over India and many other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, US, Canada, Peru, Colombia, Honduras, UK, Italy, Croatia, Ukraine, etc.

Dr. Vijay is also a renowned scholar of Yoga & Naturopathy, and has a deep knowledge of the Vedas, Upanishads and various other ancient texts. This enables him to have a holistic view towards the science of ancient medicine, as they are all interlinked. Apart from medicine, he is an expert in meditation and a master of Jyoti-shastra (Astrology). He has also worked with UNESCO on various projects and has extensively travelled to US and Canada for the same.

As a young man, Dr. Vijay had an inclination towards learning about the human body and natural ways of healing it from ailments. With such deep interest in the subject, he went to work as an apprentice under the guidance of Shri Bihari Das, who belonged to a family of Ayurvedic practitioners and cured many patients with serious ailments in his 60 years of experience. Later, Shri Bihari Das became the Spiritual guru of Dr. Vijay Parkash. Dr. Vijay also went on to formalize his study of the ancient medicine by pursuing higher education in Ayurveda.

It is this immense experience and research of Dr. Vijay that forms the backbone of Matsyaveda.

*Pulse Diagnosis (“naadi vigyan”) is an ancient science that helps an Ayurvedic doctor to diagnose and treat various ailments (and even prevent their occurrence) using the pulse signals obtained from the three precise locations on the wrist at the radial artery, viz. vata, pitta and kapha.

Late Dr. Govind Ram started manufacturing herbal medicines in 1890 using ancient formulations. His herbal medicines were known for quality and authenticity since he always used fresh herbs and diligently followed the preparation process of the medicines. Some of his medicines took 4-5 months of processing. He also had a knack for identifying rare herbs, which really affected the efficacy of his medicines.

Dr. Govind passed away of old age but his experience and knowledge of manufacturing ayurvedic medicines has been passed on to all the future generations who are actively involved in the practice till date. Thus this led to the foundation of Matsyaveda.

Dr. Shobha Garg

Dr. Shobha is a Yoga Acharya with more than 30 years of practice in Yoga. She pursued studies in Yoga in the year 1980 from Vishwayatan Yoga Ashram, under the learned guidance of Swami Dhirendra Bhramachari. Swamiji was yoga mentor for various politicians and bureaucrats such as the 3rd Prime Minister of India, Smt. Indira Gandhi.

Dr. Shobha has also studied Naturopathy under the learned guidance of Dr. Vital Das Modi. She is also proficient in healing body pains with acupressure and natural therapeutic procedures. She has always been inclined towards Alternate medicine as her father too was a renowned Homeopathic doctor.

Mr. Dhiraj Jangra

Mr. Dhiraj has been practicing yoga from last 15 years. He holds a Masters Degree in Yoga and Meditation and Intensive Yoga Instructor’s training courses from SVYASA Bangalore and JVBI Rajasthan. Dhiraj has also conducted two scientific research studies to study the effects of Yoga on middle level school students sponsored by NCERT N.Delhi.

Having interest in the field of alternative therapies he has also completed 200 hours of training in Acupuncture and Acupressure from reputed institutes in India.

Dhiraj also stayed in Canada for a few months and designed Behavior Modification programs for Alcoholics and substance abusers at Quintin Warner House London, Canada.

His Yoga programs were aired on radio FM CH4 (University of Ontario) Canada, TV Chanel -Pragya, DD and NDTV.

Dr. Thaprial is a retired distinguished professor of Tibbia College, which is a public university located in New Delhi, India. The university, which offers education and training in Ayurvedic and Unani medicine, has its origins dating back to the late 19th century. The college, which was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1921, offers bachelor’s degrees in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery and Unani Medicine and Surgery.

Dr. Thaprial had been teaching ayurveda for more than 50 years and has an immense knowledge & understanding of field of Ayurveda. He was also involved in the development and research of several unparalleled herbal medicines.

Mr. VK Garg is a successful entrepreneur. He founded his company in year 1983 in the Energy domain and has been successfully running it for past 34 years.

He is actively involved in daily operations of the company and provides his guidance to make sure MatsyaVeda Herbals has a strong foundation with a right direction to move forward with.

Mayank is a technology professional with more than 12 years of experience in the software industry. He has a Masters degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta USA and has worked with Dell at its HQ in Austin, Texas. Mayank, recently relocated to India and had been working as a Cloud Computing and Big Data Analytics Engineer with a California based startup. Mayank finally decided to quit his job and started a Software IT company with 12 member team that provided software solutions for US and Indian customers. Along with this he also started operations for Matsya-Veda. Since Mayank is from non-medical background and has stayed in United States for 7 years, he brings in a modern outlook to the company and an external pair of eyes. He is making sure that Matsya-Veda can reap the benefits of latest technology and reach out to global audience.

Mayank developed an inclination towards Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga after suffering a spine injury in 2004. Various Doctors from modern medicine advised him to undergo surgery and informed him that post surgery too he would have to take certain lifelong precautions such as not lifting heavy bags, etc. At that point, Mayank was introduced to Ayurveda Acharya Dr. Vijay Prakash and with his treatment, Mayank completely recovered. This incident brought him closer to Ayurvedic treatments and inspired him to start Matsya-Veda Herbals.

Matsya-Veda had to happen for Mayank. His paternal ancestors have been preparing Ayurvedic medicines since 1890. It was ingrained in him to always go the natural way and since childhood he has always been treated with natural remedies. Thus, the products offered by Matsya-Veda have proven beneficial for many, for over a century.
